As well as being a central element of worship, music at Rosedale Presbyterian Church has been a key feature of various activities that have been initiated over the years and we hope that the following samples will give you a sense of some of the events which have taken place at the church.
Lux Aeterna by Morten Lauridsen
Recorded at Rosedale Presbyterian Church on Good Friday, April 14, 2017, this presentation included the combined choirs of Toronto's St. Andrew's United Church and Rosedale Presbyterian Church.
Bach BWV 61: Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland
Bach based this Cantata on Martin Luther's 1524 hymn: "Now come, Saviour of the Heathens." Performed by the RPC choir under the direction of Christopher Dawes with Joseph Levesque, tenor; Mikhail Shemet, bass-baritone; Rebecca Genge, soprano. Recorded on December 11, 2016.

This vocal series, performed by many of Canada's top vocal artists was organised by pianist Rachel Andrist and soprano Monica Whicher.
Nou Goth Sonne Under Wode
Allan Bevan's award-winning oratorio for Good Friday - a 30 minute work for actor, soprano soloist, chorus and orchestra that Allan completed in 2005 when he was Director of Music at RPC
Syrian Refugee Concert
Recorded at Rosedale Presbyterian Church on Sunday March 13, 2016, this recital by soprano Sara Schabas and pianist Rachel Andrist was sponsored by Pat and Tony Keith in support of RPC's Syrian refugee program.
A Ceremony of Carols Op. 28
On December 20. 2015, under the direction of Dr. Allan Bevan, the RPC Choir and harpist Kristan Toczko performed this Cantata by Benjamin Britten.
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
This is the most common English title of the 10th movement of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben (Heart and Mouth, Deed and Life), BWV 147 composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. It was performed by the RPC choir and the Rosedale Chamber Orchestra under the direction of former Director of Music Samuel Tam.
